CM reviews Kapu stir with Cabinet
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday found some time to review the situation arising from the Kapu agitation and community leader Mudragada Padmanabham going on a fast-unto-death.
Chandrababu, who arrived in Visakhapatnam for the International Fleet Review, found the time to meet his Cabinet colleagues in the Circuit House and discuss with them the uppermost demand in the State.
Padmanabham's demands and his fast were the main issues discussed. What demands could be met, was the main part of the discussion. Persuading Padmanabham to give up the fast and the strategy to bring this about were also discussed.
Those who took part in the discussions included Deputy Chief Minsiters Nimmakayala Chinarajappa and K.E. Krishnamurthy and Ministers Narayana, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and Kapu Corporation chairman Ramanjaneyulu.
