Congress questions Governor about ex officio ordinance

The Telangana unit of the Congress has criticised the hurry with which the ruling TRS got the ex officio membership of the MLCs approved by Governor ESL Narasimhan. The Congress has condemned the ordinance route taken by the TRS government in this regard and scrapping of GO 207, according to Dasoju Shravan. He alleged that it was an example of the cheap politics of the TRS. Shravan questioned the Governor's approval of the ordinacne when the matter was in court, and the court passed strictures against government arguments. The ordinance route was to bypass the matter in the Legislature also, he added.
