AP Secretariat, too, in shifting sands
Previously the capital city alone was shifting places before finally settling down at historic Amaravati in Guntur district. Now even the Secretariat is changing places, that too the temporary Secretariat building.
Earlier, the AP government had given orders for setting up the temporary Secretariat in Amaravati township. Now fresh orders relocate the temporary Secretariat in the Malkapuram-Velagapudi area.
The Andhra Pradesh government is obviously at wit's end to relocate after the loss of Hyderabad to Telangana and consequent forced relocation. Wether it is vaastu or technical necessities that are forcing the shifting and redrawing of the plans, the government has to be firm in its decisions.
The people and officials are agitated over the frequent posers of shifting when the continuance of the common capital is there in Hyderabad for 10 years.
