Bothsa, VH and 25 Kapu leaders slapped with cases

While two firearms have been seized from the residence of Kapu supremo, Mudragada Padmanabham, in connection with the Tuni arson and violence, cases have been filed against leading lights of the community belonging to various parties. The leaders who have been slapped with cases in the Kapu violence include YCP leader Bothsa Satyanarayana, Jyothula Nehru and Ambati Rambabu, and C. Ramachandraiah and former Central Minister Pallam Raju, of the Congress, and Telangana Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao. Cases have also been filed against Dadisetty Raja, Yella Dorababu, K. Tataji and Nalla Vishnu. All these leaders have attended the Kapu Unity Roar in Tuni, where a meeting tyook place in the coconut gardens along the railway track. People in lakhs attended the meeting on Sunday last. After the meeting, some 300 masked men ventured onto the railway track and burnt down Ratnachal Express as also two police stations in Tuni, besides attacking the police who were trying to control the situation. Mudragada Padmanabham has also been slapped with a case in connection with the arson and violence but no details of the charges have come out so far.
