One lie made all the difference in AP assembly poll: Ravindranath Reddy
One lie had made all the difference in Andhra Pradesh, YCP
leader Ravindranath Reddy said on Tuesday.
The difference had put TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu in
power and YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy out of it, said
Ravindranath Reddy.
The lie related to loan waiver for farmers. Chandrababu had
made the promise to farmers in the coastal districts and got
to power.
Jaganmohan Reddy, on the other hand, was not to utter the
lie and paid for it. The difference between the TDP, which
came to power, and the YCP was hardly 500,000 votes despite
the lie. But the 500,000 votes made all the difference,
Ravindranath Reddy bemoaned.
Ravindranath said Jagan was a man of his word. If he had
made a promise, come what may he would fulfil it. In the
event, Chandrababu had cheated the farmers of the Andhra
capital region.
Ravindranath said Jagan wanted state take-over of the RTC,
and he stood by his word. So the YCP leader appealed to the
RTC employees and workers to support the YCP mazdoor union
in the elections for the recognition of the unions.
