TRS promises 200 full-fledged markets for GHMC

The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti has released the party manifesto for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation eletions, promising 200 full-fledged markets and free wi-fi for the entire city. The manifesto was released by TRS senior leaders K. Keshav Rao and D. Srinivas on Saturday morning. Talking to newsmen, they said the party campaign would be stepped up. On January 30, the TRS supremo, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, would be addressing a public meeting at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. The salient points in the manifesto are as follows: 1. Free wi-fi for the entire city 2. New parks in the city 3. New stadiums of Olympic standards 4. Strict regulations to control donation fees in private schools 5. Single window for real estate projects 6. Outer Ring Road completion by the year-end 7. 200 markets at a cost of Rs.130 crore 8. Modernisation of Ravindra Bharati 9. Exemption for real estate firms from drainage cess 10. Encouragement for rain-harvesting pits 11. Markets to have ATMs, pharmacy, food courts and meat sale points 12. Suspension bridge to come up over Durgam Cheruvu 13. Digital class rooms in Government schools 14. White topping of city roads 15. No power cuts in city
