Terrorists kill 70 students at Pak University

At least 70 students were killed at Bacha Khan University in south-western Pakistan's Charsadda on Wednesday when terrorists broke into the university premises. The terrorists pointed the barrels of their guns at the head and killed the students, it is learnt. The Army and the police surrounded the university to take on the terrorists, the Inspector-General of Police told Reuters. An exchange of fire is going on between the terrorists and the security forces. The number of terrorists is not yet known. The injured are being shifted to hospital in large numbers. The condition of many of them is stated to be grave. The toll is expected to go above 100, the police said. Most of the students and staff were in classes when the firing began. There were stated to be some 3000 students trapped on the campus. Three to four exlosions were initially heard. Helicopters were hovering over the area.
