Somireddy clarifies Anam brothers' pledge

Fireworks can be expected from any platform on which Somireddy Chandrasekhar Reddy and Anam brothers are seated together. Of the Nellore leaders, Somireddy has been a TDP loyalist fighting a lone battle for the party for long. Anam Ramnarayan Reddy and Anam Vivekanananda Reddy had deserted the TDP and went to the Congress and rejoined the TDP at the intervention of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's son, Lokesh. As they met on the same platform on Sunday, fireworks were expected. No such thing happened, but some clarifications were given by Somireddy. All this happened in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu himself. Vivekananda Reddy said the TDP should be strengthened in Nellore district because the party had just three MLAs there. "We must ensure that the party wins all the seats in the district in the 2019 polls," he added with or without obliquely referring to Somireddy leadership. Somireddy clarified the matters saying. "You say the party had won only three seats in the last assembly polls. OK, in 1989, when you were in the TDP, the party had not won a single seat. In 1994 (when the Anam brothers had joined the Congress), the TDP had won all the seats." Not taking the jibe to heart, the Anam brothers clarified that they would work under the leadership of Somireddy. Somireddy again intervened to say, there is no local leader in Nellore. Chandrababu Naidu alone is the TDP supremo.
