Indian origin `Doctor Death' Nagareddy held in US

An Indian origin psychiatrist, who has been dubbed `Doctor Death' in USA, has been arrested following simultaneous raids on his home and clinic at Clayton County in Georgia. Narendra Nagareddy, the psyhiatrist, has earned the sobriquet of `Doctor Death' because 36 of his patients had died, including a dozen of them due to overdose. He has been charged with administering dangerous medicines such as benzodiazepine as well as opiates. Narendra Nagareddy had his practice at Jones Borough. "For the last several years, the doctor had been administering benzodiagepine and opiates. On account of this, severeal of his patients had died," said Clayton county chief Mike Register. The agencies that made joint raids on his office and home included the US Drug Enforcement Administration, District County Attorney, the Police and Georgia Department of Community Supervision. All the agencies have registered cases against psychiatrist Nagareddy. All his assets have also been seized. The agencies say all of them had gone by the post-mortem reports of the patients for filing the cases against the psychiatrist. The police chief said the charges against Dr Nagareddy had proven to be true. He is Doctor Death. There is no doubt in this."
