Aamir Khan collaborated with ISI: Swamy

The intolerance debate in the country has risen to a new pitch, with the BJP not letting go of actor-film-maker Amir Khan who had innocently publicised a domestic doubt, loaded though it might be. Revealing that his wife, Kiran Rao, feared for their infant son's future in this country, Aamir Khan threw a bombshell into the burning intolerance debate. Ram Madhav, BJP leader, told Aamir Khan that he had better first preach his wife about India's prestige than rickshaw-drivers and others. Now, Dr Subramaniam Swamy joined the debate saying, "I don't give importance to the statements made by Aamir Khan. I know this fact that he had collaborated with Pakistan's ISI to promote his movie `PK'. He has not still come out with a clarification. "Being the brand ambassador of Incredible India campaign, his saying his wife feels insecure in the country was not right. If she feels insecure, she should leave," he bluntly added. Collaborate is too dangerous a word. When will our intellectuals learn? The country is passing through tough times. On the home side, the opposition parties are not allowing Parlaiment to make laws. The Goods and Service Tax Bill, stated to be good for finances of the States, has been stalled in Parliament. Alert Pakistan is attacking us on the borders. It attacked the prestigious Pathankot airbase. India has to make an effective response. Forgetting all these, must our politicians, intellectuals and award winners nitpick non-issues. Normally Dr Swami is not one to make wild charges. If he has evidence, it maybe passed on to the authorities concerned. He can as well tell the nation about PK's Pakistani connection.
