India sets 309 target for Australians

India has set a target of 309 runs for Australia in the second one-day International at Brisbane on Friday. The highlight of the Indian innings was century by Rohit Sharma, the second after the first one at Perth. Rohit continued the onslaught on Aussie bowlers right from the start despite losing Shikar Dhawan (6), and Virat Kohli (59). After wedding his cricket agent, Rohit has doubled his heroics in batting. In the first one-day at Perth, Rohit remained unbeaten with 171 runs. But the Indian team that made 309 in Perth lost the game to Australia. The Australians were providentially helped by the umpires who ruled star batsman Bailey not out despite getting a touch for an outgoing ball. Subsequent readings showed he clearly edged the ball. Significantly, India made one run less than in Perth. So unless there is a Bailey bail-out, India might make it in Brisbane this time.
