Mild sensation in Bihar as woman in jail gets pregnant

The pregnancy of an undertrial in a prison in Bihar has caused a mild sensation in the State. Eventually it was discovered that the woman and her husband had enjoyed conjugal bliss in the prison together. A sharpshooter belonging to the dreaded Santosh gang in Bihar, Mukesh Pathak, and his wife were serving jail term in connection with the brutal killing of whistle blowers and Darbhanga engineers. The couple spent some time in the Sheohar jail in connection with the case. After some days, Mukesh Pathak jumped the jail and ran away to Nepal where he is at present said to be hiding. Subsequently it was discovered that Pujakumari was pregnant. How could she get pregnant in jail was the question. A case was filed in this connection. Inquiry revealed that Mukesh Pathak and Pujakumari had enjoyed conjugal bliss with the connivance of the assistant jailer of the prison. Mukesh is believed to have bribed the jail officials for meeting his wife in his cell in men's barracks. The inquiry was jointly conducted by the Sheohar District Magistrate and the Jail Superintendent.
