Islamabad playing into India's hands: Masood Azhar

Maulana Masood Azhar, Jaishe Muhammad chief and mastermind of the Pathankot airbase terror attack, has warned the Pakistani government that it is courting with death and playing into the hands of India by taking action against his terror outfit. The government's taking action against his Jaishe terrorists would pose a danger for Pakistan itself, he warned. Writing his column in `Al-Kalam' eveninger, Masood Azhar said the government was damned for raiding mosques and madrasas, instead of waging a holy war on India. He stated that the government was acting against Jehad and Sharia. Masood Azhar further warned that he would not back out even if a death threat was held against him, or he was separated from his home-grown terrorists. He was never going to be deterred in his holy war. He reminded the government that he had invited death long ago, when he took to the terror path. While Pakistan media are crowing about Masood Azhar's arrest, there is no official announcement by Islamabad in regard to his being taken into custody. Pakistan is past master in duplicity and never does what a civilized government should do. It has never done anything to contain terrorism. On the contrary, it has brought in a distinction between good terrorists (those that kill innocents abroad by sneaking into those countries such as India and Afghanistan) and bad terrorists those that kill Pakstanis such as at Peshawar Army school carnage. Regardless, India has to wait for visible signs of change in Pakistan in the immediate future or teach Islamabad a lesson so terror emanating from that country is curbed.
