Kadiam, Chandulal meet Chandrababu
Two TRS ministers from Telangana, who were formerly TDP ministers, met AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday morning, raising much speculation in political circles.
The Ministers, Kadiam Srihari and Azmeera Chandulal, met Chandrababu ostensibly to seek his co-operation in the reopening of a rayon factory in Warangal.
Chandrababu took the Telangana ministers inside his residence, and they had discussions for half an hour. The ministers requested Chandrababu to cooperate in the rebuilding of the rayon factory.
The Telangana government recently released Rs.30 crore as the first installment for the factory. When Srihari sought funds for the factory from the AP government, Chandrababu is said to have agreed with them.
The Telangana ministers meeting Chandrababu and requesting for funds for the rayon factory appears somewhat strange. But If Chandrababu could pull off funds for the factory, it would be adding to the bonhomie of the emerging Telugu States.
Does the meeting have any further meaning is the question in view of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal elections, in which all parties, the ruling TRS in Telangana, the TDP, the Congress and the AIMIM have high stakes.
While nothing much has come out, the ministers are sure to have carried some kind of a message from Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
