Mufti funeral pix go with emojis

While Jammu and Kashmir is in a state of mourning over the death of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, the announcement of the death made in Facebook by the State government blundered by posting emojis and smiley on the page. The callous announcement in the official site of the government attracted quite a stir in social media. Netizens expressed their anguish over the emojis and smiley going with the announcement. The negligent officials soon realized their blunder and removed the emojis from the page. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh attended the final rites of the departed leader at his native village of Bij Behara. The pictures taken at the burial were posted in Facebook. While posting the pictures, the emojis also appeared. This was not realized till the netizens chafed at the idea. The State government must also look into whether the emojis were added by a mischief monger. The Mufti was a former Union Home Minister. It was his daughter's kidnap (Rubaiya Sayeed) at that time that triggered a fresh wave of violence in the valley. The valley has not fully recovered since.
