As Sailesh Gaur & Gurusevak of Garud ward off terror attack

Sailesh Gaur of Garud Commandos has given instance of exemplary courage when he was called upon to duty to take on Pakistan-originated terrorists at Pathankot airbase on January 2. The Garud commandos' brave dozen heroes split into 6 pairs, three pairs to attack and three pairs to give cover to their comrades. The commandos chief, Gurusevak Singh and Sailesh Gaur, were in the front playing hide-and-seek and firing at the terrorists. In the process, Gurusevak took in three bullets but went on forging ahead. Despite taking in the bullets and profusely bleeding, Gurusevak could not go much further and passed away. Sailesh Gaur continued the fight with six bullets piercing him because the terrorists were targeting the key mechanical area of the airbase. Owing to the barrage of bullets coming from Sailesh Gaur, the terrorists could not withstand the assault and abandoned their attack on the mechanical area and ran for cover deep inside. Sailesh Gaur's bravery left the security forces aghast. Owing to the area being thick in action, he could not be brought out of the airbase and taken to hospital at least for 3 hours. After he was admitted to the hospital, his condition improved. The act of bravery surprised not only the security forces but the whole country, which is praying for his faster recovery.
