Indian Muslims are patriots, Owaisi tells ISIS

All-India MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday stated that he was not going to be cowed down by the ISIS threats. Ignoring the fall-in-line-or-face-consequences warning of the ISIS, Asaduddin pointed out that while there were 120 million Muslims in the country, hardly five of them had joined the terrorist outfit. Responding to ISIS's threatening tweets to him, Asaduddin reminded the ISIS that in the name of Islam it had killed hundreds of Muslim intellectuals, and thousands of women were taken captive and being treated as chattels. He further reminded the ISIS that hard core Islamic countries in the Arab world were vehemently opposing the terrorist outfit. It was the policies of the US that have let the ISIS to consolidate its position. The ISIS has nothing to do with Islamic states. Besides, Islam was opposed to destruction and human bloodbath. Every Muslim in this country was a patriot. Taking the opportunity, Asaduddin called upon Muslim youth not to be carried away by ISIS propaganda. He was responding to an ISIS bid to spread its tentacles in this country. As things have hotted up, the Telangana government is expected to monitor the situation and increase the security for vulnerable leaders. Union Minister Hansraj Gangaram has already criticised the government for its indifference to the ISIS issue.
