Salwinder Singh battles in ISI's phoney honey trap

National media is going gaga over the phoney honey traps being laid by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence for Indian security forces and many securitymen struggling like insects in the Pak web ever since. The ISI's modus operandi is simple. Engage girls with sweet voice and make them call BSNL staff in border States in India and through them get all the phone numbers of those Serving in India's Defence. The girls use the internet phone. In the event, Pak ISI has set up a Call Centre for laying phoney honey traps. The victim defence staff must be kicking themselves for falling into such traps and compromising on India's security. The latest victim, according to the media, is the Armed Battalion Commander of the Punjab Police, Salwinder Singh. It was Salwinder Singh's presence at the crucial point in the Pathankot terror operation that culminated in the airbase terror attack. Salwinder Singh gave his official car with blue beacon flashing light and enabled a free passage to the terrorists. They received salutes at two check posts before storming the airbase at the fixed time of 3.30 a.m., helped by Salwinder Singh. If Salwinder Singh's fall into ISI Call Centre honey trap is true, what is that he could have got? The girls are in Pakistan, Salwinder Singh only heard their sweet voice. On the fateful Saturday also, well past the midnight hour, Salwinder was perhaps only listening to their honied voice and dreaming of a rendezvous. The meeting however ended with his losing his uniform and much worse to come. However, the presence of the jeweller Rajesh with Salwinder in the crucial operation raises necessary doubts. Was there an exchange of bullion? If so where was it stashed? Now that his falling into the Phoney Honey Trap is fairly established, what was the cook doing there apart from spoiling Indian security's broth? Was Salwinder Singh coming from a rendezvous with the sweet-talking Pakistani girls somewhere, coming as he did past midnight? The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which has detained and interrogating him, should reveal all the murky details of the Salwinder Singh operation so others do not fall into the Pak cobweb talking to phoney honies at the ISI Call Centre.
