Chandrababu back in his old form as administrator

`Dynamic' Nara Chandrababu Naidu, AP Chief Minister, is back in his old form. Known for his administrative abilities, Chandrababu has been somewhat relaxed towards the bureaucracy in his present term. This was not to the liking of many a leader. Anantpur MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy had found the difference between Chandrababu as Chief Minister 10 years and the present term. He advised the Chief Minister that this won't do. The administration had to be supervised as he did 10 years ago. Otherwise the bureaucracy would be back in its old sleepy ways, while Chandrababu alone put up a struggle. Goaded by Diwakar Reddy or not, Chandrababu has of late been showing signs of restlessness about bureaucracy. During his recent trip to Vizianagaram, Chandrababu rebuked a top woman revenue official for failure to bring out statistics he had asked for. He told her she could not expect promotion without doing her job properly. In the latest instance, Chandrababu called a young official by his name, J.C. Chandrudu, and asked him, "What are you doing? What is the administration doing? I am not going to spare anyone." He was dealing with lapses on the part of the bureaucracy on a public platform at Penugandiprolu in Jaggayyapeta assembly constituency in Krishna district. The official was left speechless. Ten years ago, the bureaucracy would shudder at the entry of Chandrababu in any meeting, not knowing which official was going to be criticised. But then his administrative acumen was one of the reasons cited for his downfall in the subsequent elections. Following his thundering success in the 2014 elections, Chandrababu has started regaining his old form.
