What's up Whatsapp? Since 10 p.m. on New Year's Night, Whatsapp had not functioned. This was explained as due to many smartphone owners trying to greet their friends and relatives all at once. Those smartphone users who thought they could greet all their friends or relatives at one go had been disappointed. The app was not simply functioning. Many had complained: `This morning Whatsapp had not opened.' A Whatsapp spokesman said the unprecdented dysfunction was due to millions of app users opening the application at one time. The disruption in service is regretted. Although the app is opening slowly, it is functional. Thursday night the app was dysfunctional. Friday morning it was opening slowly. There is a definite need to improve the services, Whatsapp spokesman added.
