Venetians worried by low water levels

Venice, the tourist city that sits on small islands, separated by canals and linked by bridges, is facing water depletion. Any tourist can go round the Italian city by boat. The boat ride is that which has made Venice so attractive to tourists. Scenes of Venice abound in Telugu films also. The people of Venice are worried that water levels in the city are going down. At some places, the water levels have come down by as much as 70 cm. When this is the case in the winter, they are afraid of even imagining the water levels in the summer. The Venetians also blame it on global warming and climate change. Owing to their impact, the water levels are decreasing in their city. If there's no water and no boats, who will go and visit Venice?
