Four rowdies attack hotel staff in Vijayawada

Rowdyism is on the rise in Vijayawada. Apart from Call Money racket related crime and violence, the city in the Andhra capital region often witnesses gang wars and use of murderous weapons. The latest instance is of four rowdies attacking a hotel staff. The rowdies barged into the hotel as it was closing overnight. They demanded kichdi, a preparation made from rice and pulses. When it was served, they demanded pickles made from a leafy vegetable and curds. As these were exhausted by that time, the servers expressed their helplessnes. The rowdies were not amused. They attacked the staff with iron rods, seriously injuring one Eshwar. The hotel owner intervened, he was also attacked by the rowdies. The rowdies' attack was captured on CCTV. Two of them were taken into custody and two others are at large. A case has been registered against the accused and investigations are on.
