AP to have a new DGP and CS in 2016

Hyderabad, Dec 26: With the current Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao retiring on January 31 and DGP JV Ramudu laying down office on July 31, the state is expected to see a change of guard in 2016. Sources revealed that three Special Chief Secretaries are in the race for the CS post and the three have been identified as AK Parida, SP Tucker and N Ramesh Kumar. However, Ramesh Kumar is likely to retire on March 31 and Tucker on August 31. Parida is likely to be in service for at least one year. though the race is open, Tucker appears to be having a fair chance to bag the top job. Meanwhile, three senior IPS officers are in race for the DGP post and they are SA Huda, SV Ramana Murthy and N Sambasiva Rao. Sources indicate that Sambasiva Rao could occupy the DGP post on August 1.
