Jaitley shameless, says Jethmalani

Constitutional expert Ram Jethmalani has started pouring vitriol even before he started arguments against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely in the Rs.10-crore defamation suit. While he has taken up the brief for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the case, Jethmalani said Jaitley could not be compared with top BJP leader L.K. Advani. Personally, the noted lawyer said he disliked Jaitley. Everyone makes mistakes, but Jaitley had hundreds of charges against him. Jaitley's defamation suit relates to the alleged corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association funds, when he was its president. The BJP leaders claim Jaitley's credentials are impeccable and his public life is clean. It is this very mystique that Kejriwal and other AAP leaders would like to smash, picking holes in BJP claims. They have already acquired `a holier than thou' halo by riding on Anna Hazare's anti-corruption campaign. The defamation suit is thus an acid test for both the camps.
