Call money racket will be put down with iron hand: Babu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday asserted that the call money racket would be put down with an iron hand. Whoever was involved in the racket, however high and mighty, would have to face the law, he added. Addressing a meeting of the District Collectors in Vijayawada, the Chief Minister bemoaned that the ugly call money racket that spread its roots to adulterated liquor and other nefarious businesses was a blot on the fair image of the new capital Amaravati. It was, therefore, necessary to nip the racket in the bud. At the same time, he warned that the perpetrators of *****-related crimes would be subjected to the Nirbhaya Act.
