Jiah Khan murder case: Zarina Wahab asks media not to defame her son

Hyderabad, Dec 11: Veteran actress and Sooraj Pancholi’s mother Zarina Wahab told the media not to defame her son in the Jiah Khan murder case. An angry Zarina feels her son is being targeted by the media. It may be recalled that Central Bureau of Investigation has charge-sheeted Sooraj in the Jiah Khan murder case under the Indian Penal Code, Section 306. It deals with abetment of suicide. Zaria said, “The entire charge sheet is not out yet. How dare anyone write anything about Sooraj without knowing the contents! We will take action against people giving incorrect information.” In June 2013, Jiah was found hanging in the bedroom of her apartment by her mother Rabiya Khan. Rabiya later filed an FIR against Sooraj, who was then in a relationship with her, accusing him of murder and handed over a letter written by Jiah.
