CRDA officials allegedly raze banana crop of anti-LPS

Hyderabad, Dec 10: A Lingayapalem farmer named G Rajesh Kumar is said to have filed a complaint with the police against the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials alleging that they had razed his ripened banana crop worth at least Rs 20 lakh. The CRDA officials are believed to have cleared his crop even though he had refused to give up his land under the land pooling scheme (LPS). In his complaint he alleged that the state government was attempting to create fear among the non-LPS farmers.
