AP to get new 1350km national highway: Gadkari

Hyderabad, Dec 5: Union minister Nitin Gadkari today announced that the centre is expected to soon approve a new 1,350 km national highway for Andhra Pradesh. Gadkari made this announcement while speaking to media in Vijayawada this morning after laying the foundation stone for the flyover near the Kanaka Durga temple. He said AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had urged the central government to allocate more national highways. The Union minister said all the national highways that Chandrababu had requested will be taken up with Rs 65,000 crore by December 2016. Gadkari then announced Rs 20,000 crore for the construction of the outer ring road for Vijayawada.
