HoDs told to set up offices in warehouses at Vijayawada

Hyderabad, Dec 4: The IAS Officers' Committee that is headed by Panchayat Raj department secretary KS Jawahar Reddy is believed to have told the heads of some of the departments at the Andhra Pradesh secretariat to set up their offices at inside warehouses in and near Vijayawada. The committee is also believed to have told the various commissionarates to identifiy and shift their office to collages that have been shut down. The committee is further said to have told the agriculture department to set up its office inside the warehouses at Gollapudi near Vijayawada. Reacting to this development, president of AP Secretariat Employees Association Muralikrishna is believed to have informed the committee that if all the secretariat departments are not located at one place then governance will suffer. Ignoring their demand for HRA, the state government is in a hurry to shift the administration to Vijayawada, government employees are lamenting.
