Centre to give Rs 330 cr to AP as flood relief

Hyderabad, Dec 3: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today announced in the Lok Sabha that the central government will soon be giving Rs 330 crore interim flood relief to Andhra Pradesh for providing aid to rain-ravaged people in the districts South of the state. Rajnath also informed the Lok Sabha that AP had requested Rs 1,000 crore towards flood relief. He then said that he had already spoken to AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on the issue and assured that a central team will soon visit the state to assess the loss due to floods.
