Missing ANU student's body found on railway tracks at Kantheru
Hyderabad, Nov 30: A third year engineering student, identified as M Ganesh of Acharya Nagarjuna University, went missing since November 25 and has been found dead. Poice recovered his body from the railway track at Kantheru three days ago.
Railway police who found the body could not identify the corpse as the student had not carried his mobile or his ID card.
Railway Police said that Ganesh may have slipped from a running train at Kantheru as his body was dragged by the train for some distance.
The railway police initially could not identify the corpse as Ganesh had not carried either his mobile or his ID card.
According to ANU Registrar P. Rajasekhar Ganesh was last seen on the campus on November 25.
Sources said, a missing case was also registered at Pedakakani police station on November 27.
Ganesh was a native of Ponduru village in Srikakulam district. His father, identified as Bavanalingeswara Rao, works at a sweet shop in Visakhapatnam.
