Chintu's open letter, claims he is innocent in Mayor couple's murder, DGP rejects claim
Hyderabad, Nov 28: In a dramatic development, the prime accused in the murder case of the Katari couple in Chittoor, Chintu, wrote an open letter to the Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court, the Superintendent of Police (Chittoor) and the media.
In the letter, Chintu is said to have claimed that he did not commit the murder of Mayor Katari Anuradha and her husband Katari Mohan.
He also claimed that there is a threat to his life from the police.
The letter was addressed to the Chittoor district SP. In the letter, Chintu claimed that he was ready to surrender to the police and was ready to prove his innocence.
Reacting to the letter, Andhra Pradesh's DGP JV Ramudu rejected the idea of Chintu's innocence and announced that the murder case is being speeded up and police teams are in search of Chintu.
Meanwhile, the CID police are said to have seized the passport of Chintu and they sent Chintu's open letter for forensic examination.
