Air India's Hyderabad-Delhi-San Francisco flight from December 2

Hyderabad, Nov 27 : Air India will operate a thrice a week flight from Hyderabad to San Francisco via Delhi from December 2. Starting its journey from Hyderabad, the flight will travel non-stop from Delhi to San Francisco. The passengers travelling to San Francisco will undergo all custom and immigration formalities at Hyderabad airport itself for their onward journey. Flight AI-127 from Hyderabad to Delhi will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Hyderabad at 9.05 p.m. in a B777-300ER aircraft and reach Delhi at 11.15 p.m. Flight AI-173 to San Francisco will leave Delhi on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 2.35 a.m. and will be operated with B777-200LR aircraft. This flight will arrive into San Francisco at 6 a.m. (local time) on the same day. The return flight will depart at 10.30 a.m., arrive at Delhi next day (Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays) and at 5.40 p.m. depart to Hyderabad by B777-300ER aircraft and arrive there at 7.55 p.m. To celebrate prelaunch of the flight, Air India on Friday organized an event in association with Visit California. The event witnessed presentations from Air India, Visit California and US Consulate with participation from prominent travel agents and tour operators According to A. Ram Babu, Air India station manager, Hyderabad, this will be Air India's fourth direct flight to US apart from the existing three to New York, Newark and Chicago. "The introduction of nonstop flight between Delhi and San Francisco paves way for most awaited and well sought-after connection between Silicon Valley and Hyderabad, the prominent IT hub in India," he said.
