Govt has put a check to illegal sand mining: Chandrababu

Hyderabad, Nov 26: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu this afternoon, after releasing a White Paper on sand mining, said his government was able to put a check on illegal sand mining in the state. Speaking to media on this occasion, Chandrababu said the government has taken the help of modern technologies like GPS for vehicles to check illegal sand mining activities. He further added that officials installed CCTVs at various sand reaches and set up a command control room in Vijayawada to monitor illegal mining activity.
