No change in Hyderabad Metro alignment: L&T Metro Rail CEO Gadgil

Hyderabad, Nov 26: L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd chief executive and managing director V.B. Gadgil ruled out any change in the alignment of the Hyderabad Metro Rail as discussed in the past. Speaking to media in Hyderabad, Gadgil said L&T will go ahead with the original agreed alignment designs for the Hyderabad Metro. It may be recalled that there were reports that Telangana government had officially communicated to L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd the changes in the alignment of Hyderabad metro rail project at three locations in the city. There were also reports that at a review meeting with top officials of LTMRHL, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao informed the L&T of three specific changes, i.e. one at the assembly building, second at Sultan Bazar, and the third in the old city of Hyderabad. Gadgil, however, denied that the Telangana government had officially communicated to them regarding the changes in alignment.
