EC to hold polling for 12 MLC seats in TS on Dec 27

Hyderabad, Nov 25: The Election Commission of India is getting ready to hold elections to fill the 12 vacant MLC posts from the Local Bodies in Telangana on December 27, sources said. Following the EC's announcement, the model code came into effect across all Telangana districts, barring Hyderabad. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti is likely to grab at least 10 of the 12 vacant MLC seats. The Telangana Legislative Council has a full strength of 40. TRS is in a majority in the 28-member House as on date.
