5 firms vie for Bhavanapadu port project

Hyderabad, Nov 24: At least five companies are viving for the Rs 3,500 crore Bhavanapadu greenfield port project in Srikakulam district. The Adani Group has also joined other agencies to have submitted its express of interest (EoI) for the port. The state government has set up a high-level committee to finalise the tenders in the public private partnership (PPP) port project. The committee is expected to meet on November 26 for finalising the tenders. So far, 15 firms had submitted their EoI to the Andhra Pradesh Infrastructure Corporation for the port project. Twelve of the 15 firms are said to have qualified for the final selection process. Of the 12, 10 firms had responded to the Request for Quotation notice that was put out for the project. The committee is also expected to finalise tenders for a convention centre at Vijayawada and an integrated sports complex at Tirupati.
