Naidu's friend CM Ramesh bags Rs 468 cr drinking water project

Hyderabad, Nov 13: A company owned by Telugu Desam party parliamentarian CM Ramesh, a close aide of Andhra Pradesh chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, is said to have bagged the Kuppam drinking water supply project worth Rs 468.53 crore. A high-powered committee, which is headed by AP chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao, is said to have approved the contract to the company, identified as Ritwik Projects Company. Interestingly, the company was the lone applicant for the project. The contract was approved after the state government decided to extend the phase two of the Handi-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi canal from Punganur to Kuppam covering a distance of approximately 143 km.
