'Chandrababu should respond on burning of Modi effigies'
Anantapur, Nov 03: BJP National Executive Committee member and MLC Somu Veerraju has strongly condemned burning of effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for special status. Speaking to media at Anantapur today, Veerraju demanded TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to respond on the issue. Veerraju said that there are some technical problems in according special status to Andhra Pradesh. He exuded confidence that Centre would grant more funds than those to be accrued under special status. It is not correct to believe that special status is a panacea for all the ills. Assam is demanding special status for the past 30 years and one should ascertain why it is lagging behind in development, he commented.
