Air India's Aviation varsity to come up in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 02: Government-owned Air India is planning to establish an Aviation University to cater to the ever increasing demand for aviation courses for pilots, air hostess and other cabin crew. According to reports, Air India has necessary infrastructure and faculty at Central Training Establishment (CTE) in Hyderabad. The national carrier is planning to convert the CTE into a full-fledged university by upgrading the existing facility. CTE was set up on a 20-acre campus in 1958. It offers various courses for pilots, engineers, cabin crew, air hostess, aviation security experts, ground handling personnel and others. The demand for aviation personnel is rapidly growing in the country but the market is unable to meet the requirements as there are not many institutes which can offer all such courses under one roof.
