JC Prabhakar Reddy-Prabhakar Chowdary rift widens

Anantapur, Oct 29: Rift between Tadipatri MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy and Anantapur MLA Vaikuntam Prabhakar Chowdary is getting wider with every passing day. A press meet called by JC Prabhakar Reddy in which he set a month deadline for Prabhakar Chowdary to install Gandhi statue near clock tower in the town, created differences between the two MLAs. Prabhakar Reddy said that he would install the statue if Prabhakar Chowdary fails to install it within a month. He even made light of one lakh saplings planting campaign launched by Chowdary. Prabhakar Chowdary said that it will take some time to secure mandatory permissions and to invite Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah for the event. Yesterday, large contingents of police and followers of Prabhakar Chowdary descended on the residence of Reddy and this added strength to the rumours that the latter's followers are planning for an attack. Police formed a protective wall at Chowdary's residence but he asked the police to leave the place as their presence will send wrong signals to the public.
