AP identifies 85 buildings to house govt offices in Vijayawada

Hyderabad, Oct 28: As per the AP government directions, the Krishna district administration is said to have identified a total of 85 buildings in Vijayawada and its surroundings for the purpose of housing government offices, sources said. In their bid to speed up the shifting of the durbar from Hyderabad, officials from Housing and Road & Buildings Departments are said to have surveyed the main routes connecting Kankipadu, Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada Urban and Gannavaram for residential and commercial premises. The state government, meanwhile, issued a notification directing the owners of these buildings to contact officials for letting out their premises as the government offices would be shifting from Hyderabad in the next few months. The government is expected to take a decision on finalising the buildings after assessing its requirements.
