Arun Shourie is not our party member: BJP

Hyderabad, Oct 28: BJP general secretary Arun Singh claimed that Arun Shourie is no longer a member of the BJP. Arun Singh clarified that Shourie's membership ceased when he failed to renew it during the party's recent membership drive. It may be recalled that Arun Shourie made a stinging attack on the Narendra Modi government recently during a function in New delhi. Arun Shourie was once an influential BJP leader and was also a minister in the Vajpayee government. Earlier, Union minister Venkaiah Naidu said Shourie's attack on the government were his personal views. During the Lok Sabha elections, Shourie was a strong supporter of Modi. During a function on Monday, Shourie said the central government believes managing economy means "managing the headlines".
