Special status: Balakrishna warns Centre of dire consequences

Hyderabad, Oct 25: TDP MLA and popular actor Nandamuri Balakrishna has warned the Centre of dire consequences, if it denies special status to AP. Speaking to the media at a programme in Hyderabad today, Balakrishna said that denial of special status will hurt the self-respect of Telugu people. Balakrishna exuded confidence that Centre would accord special status to AP and honour the provisions of AP State Reorganisation Act. Centre will fulfil all its promises including special status in a phase wise manner and it will not allow the situation go out of control, said Balakrishna. It may be noted politicians in the state are blaming Centre for the delay in according special status to AP.
