Two Chinese ships enter Japanese waters

Tokyo, Oct 24:Two Chinese patrol ships on Saturday briefly entered Japanese territorial waters around the Senkaku islands in the East China Sea, the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) said. The intrusion, the 29th of its kind this year, occurred at around 10 a.m. and the ships left the waters about two hours later, Kyodo News Agency quoted the JCG as saying. The last intrusion was on October 9. Coast Guard officials are warning vessels to stay away from Japanese territorial waters. Chinese vessels have continued entering the territorial waters around the Japanese-controlled uninhabited islets, also claimed by China and Taiwan, which call them Diaoyu and Tiaoyutai, respectively.
