Chandrababu thanks 25,000 farmers

Amaravati, Oct 22: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today thanked farmers under capital region for giving their land voluntarily. Saluting all the 25,000 farmers who voluntarily gave 33,000 acres of land for construction of Amaravati as part of Land Pooling scheme implemented for the first time in the country, Chandrababu said the soils from Bodha Gaya and several shrines, waters from all rivers were brought to the amaravati to empower the soil. He said nine cities will be formed in the capital city Amaravati. He then thanked Japan and Singapore governments for their help in building a modern capital by giving designs in record time. Stating that the division of the State was unfortunate, the chief minister said his government will go forward in solving people's problems by taking the help of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Chandrababu then thanked the Modi government for merging seven mandals of Telangana into AP, which could get submerged in the Polavaram Project Reservoir area. The CM then urged KCR to extend cooperation for joint operations and development in the two Telugu states and for resolving all problems that could crop up in future. Chandrababu then said pains of the state's bifurcation are many. He said AP does not have a revenue-generating capital like Hyderabad, Bengaluru or Chennai. So, he said, 'Hand-holding' by Centre should continue. Babu assured that Telugu people will never forget the assurances given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during difficult times. He then said AP people are ready to toil hard and have entrepreneurial skills. "We can develop into the best State in the days to come," Babu said.
