Row over KCR's name on Amaravati's plaque
Vijayawada, Oct 21: TRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's name was inscribed on the plaque to be unveiled on the occasion of Amaravati foundation-stone laying ceremony tomorrow. A section of political leaders strongly objected to the inscription of KCR's name on the plaque. "We are not opposing the visit of KCR. He is responsible for the division of the state and his name should not have been inscribed on the plaque," they said. When contacted, officials informed that as per protocol it is mandatory to inscribe the name of K Chandrasekhar Rao on the plaque. Usually names of Chief Ministers and Governors will be chiselled on plaques. Telangana Ministers are also expected to attend the event. According to reports, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Finance Minister Etela Rajender and others will attend the fete.
