Scared of facing Muralitharan, says Veeru
Delhi, Oct 21: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag said that he was scared of facing Sri Lanka's legendary spinner Muthaiah Muralitharan.
In an interview to a news agency, Virender Sehwag said, “I was scared of facing only one bowler, that was Muthaiah Muralitharan”.
Former Indian cricket team captain Saurav Ganguly sacrificed his opening slot for me and gave a lot of encouragement. I can never forget his help, he added.
He served the Indian cricket team for 12 years and he is the first Indian to score triple-century in tests. He played his last test and one day international matches in 2013.
