Most wanted terrorist held in Hyd
Hyderabad, Oct 21: Ghulam Jafar Ghulam Husain Shaikh, key accused in several terror cases, was arrested by Gujarat police in Hyderabad yesterday.
Jafar has been living in Hyderabad for the past 12 years. He is accused of supplying 140 cartridges to terrorists supported by Pakistan's spy agency ISI. The terrorists resorted to firing at several places and planted tiffin box bombs aboard buses in Gujarat.
Jafar hails from Gujarat but he is living at IAS Colony of Hakimpet in the city since 2003.
Gujarat police camped in the city for several days, traced the identity of Jafar and nabbed him with the help of local police.
According to reports, Jafar maintained contacts with Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad and joined hands with ISI to avenge communal rights in the aftermath of Godhra incident.
