TS puts jobs on hold following Centre’s directive

Hyderabad, Oct 19: Telangana government is said to have put on hold all job recruitments for Group II and Group III posts following a directive from the central government to all state governments to stop the conduct of interviews to the positions. With the Telangana government halting recruitment notifications in the state over 10 lakh job aspirants are likely to be impacted. The job aspirants had been waiting for job notifications for more than six years. It may be recalled that the Telangana government had announced a specific exam pattern for Group-II posts. Sources said, the Centre’s Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) is said to have issued directives to TS government on September 14 to stop the conduct of interviews for all junior-level positions.
